Amanda

"Amanda"

Amanda was killed in a tragic car accident a few years ago. Her mother contacted us to commission a portrait of her cherished daughter. She had very few pictures of Amanda that were taken during the months prior to the accident. Our artist was able to meet with the mother and father and determine how the available images could be used to create a painting that would honor Amanda's memory and achieve a true likeness of her. After the initial painting was created, we worked through some revisions and changes with the parents to make the portrait a stronger likeness of their daughter.

The finished painting was gallery wrapped and shipped to the family.

It is gratifying to be able to work with people to help bring comfort in sorrow - to provide a lasting vision in memory of a loved one.

A Tribute to Peter Nielsen

"Peter Nielsen"

Christian Nielsen commissioned this portrait as a gift to his family. The Nielsen family comes from a strong line of pioneer ancestry. Christian wanted to honor the ancestor who sowed the seeds that brought many wonderful blessings to his family. The only image he had of Peter (his deceased ancestor who lived in the 1800's) was the one below. We gathered multiple other images of Nielsen men to determined key family features. We then applied those features to the old black and white image and created a full size painting of Peter. The Nielsen family loved the image!

Our artists are highly trained in traditional portrait painting techniques. They are also exceptionally skilled at extrapolating information from old, low resolution images and creating very detailed, traditionally painted portraits of those who have long since departed this life.

All of these wedding portraits were commissioned by parents who wanted to give their children an extra special gift - one that would help them remember their feelings of new love and the importance of maintaining their marriage relationship. In each instance, the parent provided several photos of the happy couple that we were able to use in creating these paintings.

It is also possible to incorporate motifs or themes from weddings, or other events that will further help to customize the image. Specific colors can be used, and backgrounds can be created that will also help to personalize and add meaning to special events.

Typically, these paintings are produced at the size of 18x24 and wrapped on 1" stretcher bars for framing purposes. Canvases can also be gallery wrapped, upon request. There are many options available.

Parents Portrait Brings Comfort

This painting was created for a family who lost their parents many years ago in a plane crash. For decades, the couple's children had no quality image of their parents to remember them in their prime. One of the sons-in-law in the family commissioned this picture for his wife. The reference for the painting came from combining several older photos. Our artist worked with the client to get the features just right.

It is always a true pleasure to create such meaningful images for people! The joy and memories that accompany pictures like this are priceless!
